Isn't forcing someone to give you great feedback for a product intimidation? O.o this guy has 100% good feedback and one of them just says "ty".

eBay feedback happens at the moment of sale ... not 2 weeks later when they find out it's a piece of crap

besides... positive feedback means nothing on eBay. Even buyers that are ripped off tend not to register complaints since products like that program offer no guarantees.

It certainly shouldn't happen imediately, feedback in my experience (and I'm a semi professional eBay trader) is left after both parties are satisfied and no other dispute could arise. Feedback can be left any time up to 60 days after a sale (both seller and buyer).

No, the guy actually said that you couldn't buy it if you were going to make a negative comment. O.O

I was wondering. Even if they did get my password and e-mail adress, they would need to use brute force on my email provider (hotmail, yahoo, AOL or whatever) and I think those are secure. (or atleast I hope so)

WHY? Because if they get my GW pw and login name and change the PW, and I login and notice all I have to do is send PW to EMAIL and I have the PW and kick any online person on my acount. And You cant change the email adress of an acount easily. You need both email acounts or you have to w8 for two weeks.

Brute force hacking attempts tend to be rather noticeable. I'd bet your account would get locked after a certain number of failed log-in attempts.

The Glock is also one of the more famous gun names, heavily referenced in movies and books. It's the one that's fictionally able to be stripped down and sent through a metal detector with no problems...

Yah, sometimes these are just scams that try to make you enter your password on a website form, other times it's actually a keylogger program (BPK is as popular one) that logs your keystrokes and emails the results to the distributor.

And voila! (Or 'viola' if you like stringed instruments), the haxxor has your password. If he's lucky, he's also got your login email.

"Fictional" being the operative word there. I actualy hadn't heard that one for a few years, so I had assumed it had died.

Don't get me wrong, the weapon was designed for combat, an environment that normaly involves low levels of training, very poor maintainance, and nightmare operating conditions. This is also why so many police units are going to it, and it is very good at its job.

However, the bottom line is that every other gang banger stuffs a 9mm version down his pants and thinks it's going to get him "respect". The reason it's become so common has little to do with its combat heritage and everything to do with image. Well, image and the fact that it's stupidly easy to operate.

There are not many weapons I would recomend over the Glock to a complete novice, and most of them would be shotguns. But I'm not in the habbit of recomending any weapons to novices. The very first question I ask someone looking for advice on a weapon is "are you absolutely positive that you have the ability to kill another human being?". It amazes me how many people have never asked themselves that question.

Personaly I don't really like it, although I'm hard pressed to give a really good reason as to why. Even after fiting the Barstow barrel, the G27 I tried just didn't work for me.

I've been out of the military for more than 15 years now, but I'm unaware of a single ops team that makes use of the Glock, and I'd be surprised to hear of one. It's ok for novices, conscripts, and police, all of whom tend to have about the same level of ability. It seems to work well for competition, but then slick tyres work well on a racecar too. In the end I believe there are too many better alternatives out there.

Although I think the topic of this thread is about dead, I'm not sure we should keep going into weapons here.

You know I have to respond to your poke at Glocks.
But I'm baffled by your last sentence. It's as if you'd prefer to retreat from having to defend your position. If you're going to voice an opinion in an open forum then you ought to be willing to defend it as well. That's what forums are for.

I'm making a separate post for my response in the "Off Topic and Absurd" area. See you there....

I prefer ol reliable...1911.

But glock is my second choice...strange as they're different by so much...

Actually with the somewhat supreme court filesharing case it now depends on how it is advertised. Since it is being advertised primarily as a tool to obtain a game through illegal means Arena.net would be able to seek reparations from the writer.

ok if your password was only letters either case the maximum amount of passwords would be something like

1.2829527115949577029702775978467e+108

possible passwords, throw in numbers:

8.3306029999439502888147660318024e+112

and then letters and symbols [ ie !@#$%^&*() ]

1.0278915010201686163983385187518e+117

its going to take more then a few hours to crack, try something like 60+ years. But it all depends on the complexity of the password

..:: EDIT ::.. Fixed a typo

I dunno, anyone searching on Ebay for help on GW ....ugh fighting to try to be polite here.

Since Gw is free, I guess the worse you have to lose is your character and the email exposed. Still, as the saying goes 'a fool and thier money are soon parted'.. or something around those lines.

Then again if you (rather... stupid enough to) dowload a program to do something wrong, who knows what else it will do....mondo sadness, why bother.

Dead on - I'm sure Anet would notice or design there system to notice 1k+ failed attempts to log in to an account. I think after a certain time it will prompt you to "please contact teach support and make sure you have your cd-key ready, may require fax copies of (key page)

This POS and his warez have been officially booted from ebay for the time being.

Advocating/Defending hack software is pretty lame regardless of whether it works or not.

Slightly deviating from the OT but there are people ingame who are advertising their accounts for sale.
One guy in ascalon was asking for 20 ecto's and another just now in LA was asking for 150k for a clean account.

Sounds fishy to me so i just thought i'd warn about it.

Two options right here. The person is Retarded, or the person is scamming.
Retarded because- GW Account costs like $30 - $50 while as a scum of the earth would do, buy 100k for $10.

Oh yeah, the courts of America are too obviously cheesy now. The system is too darn stiff, it has no room for common sense. Everyone can know it's being used to hack accounts, but if theres no picture of the program being used with the login screen and program in the background, it's not provable that's what it's for. If the legal system asked the creator what it was used for, he can reply with "I want to make a notepad file that's 100 MB, but I don't want to use copy and paste."... it'd probably hold up.
